You have to see this!

Just found this excellent video that shows me and Aston having a bit of fun. I think the off license was about to close and Aston needed to get there pronto to pick up a bottle of claret.

Take a look for yourself..

By the way - For those of you who are asking what the hell is that car? It's called a Grinnall Scorpion III and it is as fun as it looks! It's based on the BMW K range of motorcycles - There's actually a simillar three wheeler called a T-Rex which might have to be next http://www.go-t-rex.com/

Greetings from Zanzibar

Hello Peasants!

Following on Aston's previous post from Scotland, here's what followed...

I had a late night telephone call from Aston saying that even though he was having a thoroughly splendid time in the most northern extremes of our home isle, the weather was not quite what it could be for this time of year, it being nearly springtime and all.

So, a solution was soon found for this minor problem. Simply change location!

A mad dash along the motorway, passport in hand. And soon enough I was winging my way, with Aston and his two most recent lady-friends to the far-off land known as Zanzibar.

What a change! I'm glad I packed my favourite beach shirt and sunglasses! As you can see, we were soon enjoying the warm climate and amazing surf on the way to our new favourite cocktail bar.

Must go.. Aston's companion has just handed me something known as a "Lunar Orgasm"!!

Check back soon.. I think this is going to be a long night!!

Benji

A nice chat

I would just like to say what a wonderful job the boffins in the basement have done with our new forum chat thingy. Well done chaps, a bottle of something is on the way.

I am pleased to see that a few eccentric types have already visited and left their thoughts, so if any more of you out there would like to pop by for a nice chat and a cup of coffee* on the sofa, just click on our forum link and I would be delighted to hear from you.

(I am absolutely certain that Benji would love to hear from you too, but I'm afraid you will have to shout as he has just upgraded the sound system in his motor car and seems to have impaired his ability to hear anything properly!)

Champagne, mud and haggis

Och hello again. Yet another jolly ten days enjoying the benefits of a lazy and wealthy lifestyle. This time I have been off touring the magnificent Highlands of Scotland. The primary purpose of my visit was to attend the traditional highland wedding of one of my lovely cousins, held in a magical setting at the hereditary Mc Talisker country seat on the edge of The Trossachs. It was a most spectacular affair with champagne, dancing, claret, champagne, merriment and even rope ladders and shooting for the children. And champagne. It was all set against a dreamily breathtaking backdrop of snow covered mountains. My oh my.

Edinburgh next, and took up residence in ones usual suite at the Balmoral Hotel for some traditional highland luxury hospitality. I noticed some chaps were happily watching a game of rugby on a large screen in the hotel lounge. Over a rather expensive bottle of Burgundy I discovered it was Scotland playing against England, and was being held just a few miles down the road. Fortunately my driver had only had a small tonic and black pepper and so we rolled off to the stadium whereupon we purloined a box usually reserved for lesser dignitaries, and watched the remainder of the game with a couple of charming young local lassies (who were occassionally distracted from the game by the sight of ones knees beneath my faithful kilt) .

Naturally Scotland won the game and so to celebrate we all went off to my favourite Thai restaurant by the Royal Botanic Gardens for a traditional spicy mediterranean haggis supper with king prawns, giant squid steaks and chips. Rather strangely, I thought, the young ladies opted for Thai beer and ice cream. I was later very kindly shown some of the more interesting sights and rather less well known features of the historic old town by the Castle. Unfortunately, in all the excitement I managed to spill claret in my Leica and sadly am unable to publish the photographs! You can imagine..........

More blethering soon.

Cheers
